ICES and its chaptersare governed by various sets of Bylaws, rules, and guidelines. The main set of operating rules for ICES is its Bylaws. Following the ICES Bylaws, the chapters follow a set of Chapter Bylaws as determined by the ICES Board of Directors. Chapters usually also have their own set of operating rules which cannot conflict with either the ICES or Chapter Bylaws.
